Dorset Healthcare Trust is currently undertaking an Urgent Care Review of Accident and Emergency Departments, Minor Injuries Units [MIUs] and Urgent Treatment Centres [UTCs]. Plans for moving our Minor Injuries Unit to the front of the hospital have been drawn up, but are on hold while policy decisions are made. An Urgent and Emergency Care Board has been established to strategically lead changes required to the system.
We are hopeful that a decision will be made which allows work to start in the autumn of 2023.
